Presentation, show and technique terms

‘My children thoroughly enjoyed taking part in this production and embraced the theme, content and characters.  I am very proud of them.  Thank you’

Mrs Pajak – Jigsaw Broxbourne

To provide a variety of experiences for our students, we run three terms a year – our presentation, show and technique terms.

Presentation term

This term concludes with students giving family and friends a presentation of their class work. It’s fun and informal, but designed to involve everyone, enabling all to put new skills to good use.

‘The structure of the Jigsaw programme has fulfilled our objectives as parents and we are delighted to see both our children perform, with confidence, in front of an audience.’

Mrs Langan – Jigsaw Ware

Show term

‘As usual the end of term play was magnificient’ Mrs Issacs, Jigsaw Broxbourne parent

At the end of this term, a fully staged show is devised, involving the students in a combination of dance, drama and singing. Again, everybody gets the chance to shine and be individually challenged, while learning the importance of working as part of a team.

Technique term

The third term of the year is our technique term, where the pressures of preparing for presentations and shows is removed, allowing students to strengthen their skills and explore different genres of the performing arts.

‘Thank you for helping to make Callum a more confident child.  He actually looks forward to performing at school now!’ Mrs Webb
