Jigsaw Summer Schools

Jigsaw summer schools are designed to provide enjoyable and stimulating performing arts activities for students during the school holidays.  Students are divided into age appropraite age groups and take part in drama, dance and singing classes.  Each week has a theme which will form the basis for the show on Friday.  Family and friends will be invited to watch.

3 to 5 years

These sessions are full of fun pack, exciting performing arts activities based around the theme for the week.  They offer a taster of the full day program and the week leads to a mini performance.  Perfect for building confidence, making new friends and keeping your child busy during the school holidays.

6 to 16 years

Each day will begin with a physical and vocal warm up with the choreographer and musical director.  Students will then work in smaller groups taking classes in script, improvisation and vocal work, jazz dance and singing technique.  Later in the week the show is pieced together and students will be given a rehearsal schedule.  On Friday we will add sound and lighting to the production for a technical and dress rehearsal in preparation for the performance that afternoon.

As registered day-care providers, the Jigsaw team members bring all of their performing arts capabilities to provide children with an enjoyable and stimulating, yet safe, environment. Activities are suitable for those aged 5 to 15, who are then divided into appropriate age groups and activities adapted accordingly.
