An introduction by
Nicola Lander, Company Director
A very warm welcome to our Web site. In the pages which follow, I’d like to show you how we help to instil important capabilities in children – capabilities which can bring them real benefits in an ever-more-challenging world.
The performing arts play a vital role in education, inspiring children just as they inspired me to found Jigsaw in 1995. Since then, I have seen many children of all ages, backgrounds and talent levels join us and gain the confidence and social skills to achieve their full potential in life.
We have over 20 weekend performing arts schools in London and the home counties, but do not franchise. All of our schools are managed directly from our head office in Barnet. I am, therefore, able to take a very personal interest in the running of them all, to ensure that they meet the highest-possible standards.
Our sessions are designed for students from 3 to 18 years of age, working in appropriate age bands. Every group is coached by fully trained tutors, many of whom work professionally in the industry.
We now have classes to cater for pre school children aged from 6 months to 3 years. Jigsaw Jumpers is a perfect way to begin your child's expressive journey!
With the school holidays come our two theatre-based schemes, both of which are registered with Ofsted. For those aged between 16 and 20, with a genuine desire to work professionally in the performing arts, we also run a Youth Theatre Company. This is complete with full-scale productions in professional venues. In addition, this service is greatly enhanced by Jigsaw Arts Management, our theatrical agency, representing students who have been selected from our schools. We now also run classes for under 3s - Jigsaw Jumpers for your childs first performing arts experience!
Whether you are a parent or potential student, our two-week trial period will soon prove to you what fantastic fun Jigsaw can be!
