Battersea Jigsaw doors open THIS WEEKEND!

This weekend, Battersea Jigsaw is opening their doors to families in the local area! Providing fun and engaging performing arts classes for children aged 3 – 18. The classes at Jigsaw Battersea are designed to help build confidence, communication and social skills, and are lots of fun!

We spoke with Jigsaw Battersea Owner and Manager Lauren in preperation for the launch:

“From the age of five, I have adored the performing arts. I attended dance, drama and singing classes in my little Welsh town. Taking every opportunity to also be part of the creative side as I knew I wanted to teach and one day have my own performing arts school. At age 21, I moved to Battersea and started working with Jigsaw Performing Arts, in and around London.

Living in London is special. We have all the perks of city life, matched with wonderful green parks, art and expression and so many opportunities. In Battersea, we have the fantastic Power Station, one of the most beautiful parks in London (Battersea Park), great schools, theatres and an amazing community.

This year I am lucky enough to open my third Jigsaw Franchise right on my door step; Jigsaw Performing Arts School Battersea, starts this September at Harris Academy Battersea. Drama, Singing and Dance classes for children aged 3-18 years, taught be industry professionals.” – Lauren

Originally from South Wales, Lauren received a Degree in Dance and Performing Arts from LIPA. Since graduating Lauren has worked as a professional performer, in musical tours, children’s shows, TV and film. Lauren has had a passion for teaching Children from a young age. She has choreographed many Youth Musical Productions, and has worked with Jigsaw for over 10 years. Lauren runs Jigsaw Performing Arts Schools in Surbiton and Croydon and is excited to bring Jigsaw classes to her neighbourhood in Battersea.
