Bonding and Fun: ‘Bring a Parent Day’ at Jigsaw Performing Arts School Hitchin

At Jigsaw Hitchin, we always strive to create special moments and memories for our students and their families. Recently, we hosted a delightful ‘Bring a Parent Day’ event for the last couple of weeks of term that truly showcased the power of bonding and fun through the arts.

On a bright Sunday morning at Hitchin Girls School, our talented students aged 3-18 gathered with their enthusiastic parents for a unique experience. The air was buzzing with excitement and anticipation as families prepared to step into the world of dance, singing, and drama together.

As the classes began, it was heartwarming to witness the parents wholeheartedly embracing the activities alongside their children. From learning new dance moves to singing in harmony, the joy and laughter filled the room, creating a vibrant and inclusive atmosphere.

Parents and children worked side by side, supporting each other, and truly understanding the passion and dedication that goes into honing their skills. It was a great sight to see generations coming together, sharing a common love for the performing arts and even the odd parent that was a little apprehensive to begin with, was doing the  ‘Hand Jive’ by the end of the lesson!

Not only did the ‘Bring a Parent Day’ event at Jigsaw Hitchin strengthen the bond between parents and their children, but it also highlighted the importance of creativity, teamwork, and self-expression. The experience was not just about learning new skills but also about creating lasting memories that will be cherished for years to come.
