Introducing Brentwood Franchisee Abbie

Jigsaw Franchisee Abbie will be opening a new school in Brentwood this September!

We thought we’d check in with Brentwood Franchisee Abbie to ask her some questions about herself and her hopes for her new school!

Why did you want to open a second Jigsaw school?

I absolutely adore having my school in Chelmsford. It’s been an amazing five years; watching the school grow and develop, meeting new students and building an incredible team of teachers. It felt like it was finally the time to spread my wings across Essex and add another school. Brentwood felt like the perfect location due to being so close to Chelmsford, so I’m hoping they’ll make the perfect marriage!

What are you most excited about?

Meeting the young people and their families. I love working with young people, but feel it’s incredibly important to know everyone at Jigsaw- including their extended families. Experiencing the highs and lows of the young people’s lives has been such a privilege and I’m determined to create the same environment at Jigsaw Brentwood.

What experience do you have in the performing arts?

I am a Drama practitioner and I also direct and choreograph for several performing arts companies. During the week, I currently work for a company that delivers professional performance training for adults with disabilities. I enjoy directing and choreographing performances for them and last summer was involved with a short film project- which meant that I actually ended up on camera!

What are the three main goals you have for your new school?

• Happy students and staff.
• For Jigsaw to become part of the Brentwood community.
• Creating a place for the young people of Brentwood to belong.
