Jigsaw Oxford will be performing at a local festival

For the first time since Jigsaw Oxford opened its doors in 2020 our older students will be singing in front of a live public audience. Our Saturday morning Performing Arts Classes for 3-18 years help our students to build skills in Dance, Drama and Singing and this term our students will put those skills into action in a really special performance.

Flofest is a local East Oxford festival which is totally run by volunteers from the community and is non-profit. Local groups like Jigsaw Oxford are invited to take part in the celebration which this year are taking place this year on Saturday 22nd June 2024. There will other local groups who also run classes for children. It will be lovely to all celebrate together.

Getting the chance to perform is an amazing opportunity to do something that may feel exciting and even a bit scary for some of our students. They will be supported by our teaching staff on the day and we hope it will be a wonderful confidence builder for them. Most importantly, we will make it a hugely positive experience, and lots of fun.

The festival takes place in Florence Park, just around the corner from our Jigsaw Oxford venue, The Old Schoolhouse, on Hertford Street. Our Jigsaw families will be invited along to support and cheer them on. Afterwards they can grab an ice-cream and enjoy all of the live-music, other performances and workshops. Let’s just hope for some English Sun on the day!
