2019 was a fantastic year at Jigsaw Performing Arts Schools – we hope you’ve enjoyed your year too! In case you missed any of our exciting news, here’s Jigsaw’s 2019 year in review.
2019 Year in Review
New schools
It was amazing to bring the joy of Jigsaw to so many new areas in 2019.
January saw Jigsaw Teddington, Jigsaw Harlow and Jigsaw Cardiff open their doors! Read more about their start to the year here:
All three schools rounded off 2019 with their first ever shows.
For Summer term, they were joined by the brand-new Jigsaw Plumstead, Jigsaw Epsom and Jigsaw Cardiff West.
2020 will see Jigsaw Oxford launch, bringing Jigsaw to a brand new city!

Agency news
In 2019, Jigsaw students trod the boards in the likes of Little Miss Sunshine – The Musical (see video below), TINA: The Tina Turner Musical, and the UK tour of The Bodyguard.
On screen, students took part in filming for educational videos at the National Theatre, recorded voiceover for a Piaggio commercial, as well as a few more projects that can’t yet be announced!
Over 30 Jigsaw students attended the latest Agency Workshop Day, learning all about the world of professional auditions. Many joined the agency as a result, and we look forward to seeing the great work they get up to!

Summer fun
Once again, Jigsaw summer schools were fantastic fun, with a week’s worth of activities and rehearsals leading up to some fantastic shows.
Several Jigsaw schools also had a strong showing at local summer festivals, performing songs they had worked on during their weekend classes. Read more about these here:

Jigsaw in the news!
Two students from Jigsaw Balham hosted a breakfast show on FunKids radio. In between playing their favourite tracks, they also talked about their Jigsaw classes! Have a listen:
Tarinn, a former Jigsaw student who made his West End debut in Hamilton, gave Jigsaw a shout-out on Twitter!

2020 and beyond!
It’s somehow been just over 4 years since Jigsaw’s 20th Anniversary – time flies! – which means this year it’s the big 25. Details of our very special celebrations will be announced soon…
