Jigsaw Barnet helped raise money for Noah’s Ark Hospice at Kidz Fest 2023!
Megan (Owner and Manager of Jigsaw Barnet) participated in Kidz Fest 2023, a charity event held for Noah’s Ark’s Hospice, alongside some of her students and teachers! Together they helped raise proceeds for the charity. Noah’s Ark Hospice runs in Barnet, so it holds a very close place in a lot of families’ hearts in the area.
We spoke to Megan about the experience at Kidz Fest!
“We all had a great time at Kidz Fest, helping raise money for such an important cause. To meet with other local businesses was lovely and there was a real community feel.
Myself and the teachers set up a stall and the Children’s Goodwin prizes. Lots of local businesses got involved and donated prizes for the raffle. We contributed the prize of a scholarship for a whole year at Jigsaw Barnet! Giving more children the opportunity to experience Jigsaw.
Lots of Jigsaw parents that are signed up to classes in other areas of North London came to say hello! It was a joy to meet other members of the Jigsaw community. It felt like the whole of North London was there! Hopefully Kidz Fest will be a yearly thing.
Even The Mayor of Barnet, Nagus Narenthira, visited the Jigsaw stall and was really interested in what we do at Jigsaw Arts!
There were loads of things to do at Kidz Fest! Bouncy castles, a soft play area, food stalls, a huge raffle, Disney Princesses, Paw Patrol characters, ice cream vans and other entertainers throughout the day.
The two ladies that organised the event are two mums from Barnet. Initially, the two ladies worked as children’s entertainers and were approached by Noah’s Ark Hospice to hold a session for their charity. After the session, emotions were high and the ladies just wanted to help further. So, they organised the Kidz Fest charity event to raise money, which is just amazing.”
We hope to see another Kidz Fest event next year, with more opportunities to raise more and support the charity. Well done to Megan and her team for a brilliant day supporting their local community and Noah’s Ark Hospice!
