We had the pleasure of taking all of our 17 Group 3 (12+ years students) at Jigsaw Bexleyheath, on a trip to the theatre to see Mamma Mia in the West End!

This was a trip that was long in the planning and made even more special by one of our past drama teachers, Luke, appearing in the cast. The group had previously sung a song from Mamma Mia for their presentation and everyone was very excited to see the show.

It was fantastic to see all of our students outside of class socialising and having fun together and it really showed how they have really become a close-knit group of friends whether they are at their Jigsaw classes on Sunday mornings or not.

The show was brilliant, all the students felt very inspired by seeing the performers onstage and the atmosphere in the theatre was electric, there was even a chance at the end for everyone to get up and sing-a-long. But don’t take our word for it, here’s what some of our students had to say about the experience.

Chelsy: It was a magical experience and it felt like I was in my own little world when watching the show. It made me want to see another show soon!

Florence: Everyone’s singing was amazing and so sharp, it was an amazing show!

Libby: Great show!

Pamati: It was beautiful!

Lyla: I had a great time! It was fun to see everyone outside of Jigsaw!

Elena: Everything about it couldn’t have been more perfect! I would see it again!

Alesha: I go to the theatre all the time so I’ve seen a lot of shows but Mamma Mia is definitely one of my favourites. I am already planning to go and watch it again and I can’t wait to go back!

Melanie: I absolutely love Mamma Mia and it was so fun to be able to go and see it!

There you have it! Not only did the students love Mamma Mia as a show, but the sharing experience together made them eager to go back to the theatre and hopefully inspired them to continue to perform together every weekend at Jigsaw!
