Meet Natalie, Hemel Hempstead

This week we have been delivering training for our new franchisees……… meet Natalie, school manager of our new venue in Hemel Hempstead on Saturday mornings!

What sparked your interest in the performing arts?

I was exposed to the performing arts from a young age as my parents are keen theatre goers. I would love the whole experience of being in a theatre and the excitement as the house lights came down and you would be transported into a new world. I spent my childhood as a member of my local dance school and it remains one of my greatest memories.

What drew you to Jigsaw?

I had just finished drama school when I came across Jigsaw and the whole ethos of the school really spoke to me. I loved the fact that this was more than just a performing arts school, it is somewhere for children to belong and to grow in confidence. As a shy child myself I know first hand how transformative the performing arts can be.

Singing, dance, drama what’s your favourite?

Drama would have to be my favourite, followed closely by dance.

What will your Jigsaw school bring to Hemel Hempstead?

I would like Jigsaw to bring sense of community and fun. It’s important to me that we help to create amazing memories and experiences that will last a life time for the students.

How does it feel owning & running Jigsaw Hemel Hempstead and what can we expect in the future?

It feels surreal to own my own Jigsaw, but also incredibly empowering and exciting! I hope we can expect to see a busy school full of happy students who are having a brilliant time performing and learning new skills.

What do you hope to inspire in the young people who attend the school?

To always believe in themselves, to be brave in following their dreams whatever they may be and to carry a love for the performing arts always.

Jigsaw Hemel Hempstead is launching on 2nd October 2021 at the Adeyfield Academy.  New students are invited to do a two week trial before signing up for the whole term.
