These Books Are Made For Walking review

As part of their season of circus-related performances, Jacksons Lane played host to Bikes & Rabbits’ production of These Books Are Made For Walking.

12-year-old Jigsaw student Malia went along to watch the show at the North London theatre, and put together this terrific review:

“I had an interesting time at the theatre, an experience I will never forget.

My favourite character was the girl because she was the most interesting and was creative, using books as tutus, slippers and much more. My favourite moment was when she did gymnastics on a tightrope because I love it when people perform flexible pieces.

The costumes were very casual instead of bright exaggerated clothing which is normally associated with theatre.

I liked the set because it was funky and abstract it had an amazing construction which looks like a ladder full of books.

I’m not sure whether I would recommend the show to any of my friends as I think it’s for people who maybe like creative and visual arts. My friends love musicals!!”

These Books Are Made For Walking is currently on a UK Tour, and will be on at the Arts Depot this weekend. Visit Bikes & Rabbits’ website for further information, and don’t forget to take a look at Jacksons Lane for information on a wide array of shows this Spring.
