Spotlight on Krystina – Dance Teacher at Jigsaw Barnet.

Hi, my name’s Krystina and I am the Dance teacher at Jigsaw Barnet! I also teach Dance, Drama and LAMDA classes in several Performing Arts Schools across London.

What do you like most about teaching?

Sharing my knowledge of the Performing Arts to the next generation and watching each student shine in their own way! I love seeing friendships and connections grow at Jigsaw, everyone has each others backs!

Why Jigsaw?

Jigsaw is more than just a school, we are a family and everyone cheers each other on, supports and respects one another. Every student is special!

What do you hope to inspire in your students?

I hope to inspire students to have the confidence to express themselves through the love of performing arts and to help them reach their full potential.

What is your favourite subject – singing/dance/drama?

I LOVE ALL THREE!

What is your favourite Musical and why?

This is a tough one as there are so many – I love ’42nd Street’ and ‘Crazy For You’. As I love Tap! I would say one of the most memorable Musicals I’ve seen is ‘La Cage Aux Folles’ at Regents Park Open Air Theatre. INCREDIBLE!!

How do you encourage and build confidence?

Making sure each student knows they are in a safe and nurturing space. As a teacher all i want is for everyone to try their best, there is no right or wrong!

Any advice for someone unsure to sign up to Jigsaw Barnet?

I guarantee once you have your first taster you won’t want to leave! What better way to spend your Saturday afternoon than singing dancing and acting?!
