Nick Cope at the Trinity Theatre Tunbridge Wells!
Alex from Jigsaw Bexleyheath took her family to see the popular children’s song writer Nick Cope live in concert at the Trinity Theatre Tunbridge Wells!
For those of you that don’t know, Nick Cope writes children’s songs and has become rather popular since animating those songs for CBeebies in his very popular “Nick Cope’s Popcast”.
Alex’s daughter Harmony, who attends Jigsaw Bexleyheath on the weekends, has been listening to Nick Cope from a very early age and loves all of his songs. The songs aren’t just for kids though! The catchy tunes sometimes deal with more grown up subject matters like gender roles, plastic pollution in the sea and global warming.
The concert itself was full of fun with anecdotes and jokes between songs as well as Nick encouraging everyone to sing along to some of his well-loved favourites like “A Round of Applause for the Dinosaurs”, “Ralph the Rusty Robot” and “Dear Old Deer” as well as a few new tunes too!
There was even a chance at the end to meet Nick and have your picture taken with him for all of his super fans. Nick’s songs are the perfect introduction to a wider range of songs for little ones, outside of nursery rhymes and you may even find yourself singing along to them in your Jigsaw Performing Arts Classes!
Nick Cope is currently touring the UK in concert with only a few tickets left for his show in London in July but you can check out Popcast episodes now on the BBCiplayer with a new series just out last week!
