Children’s Dance, Drama & Singing Classes Coming to Bromley & Beckenham This September

If you’re looking for children’s dance classes in Bromley, drama classes in Beckenham, singing lessons for children, or a fun weekend activity that helps your child build confidence and make friends, we have exciting news.

Jigsaw Performing Arts Bromley & Beckenham is opening this September, led by School Manager Yas, a much-loved former Jigsaw teacher who has worked across multiple Jigsaw schools, helping children discover their confidence through performing arts.

Having spent years teaching within the Jigsaw family, Yas has seen first-hand the positive impact that drama, dance and singing can have on children’s confidence, communication skills and wellbeing.

Now she is bringing that experience, passion and enthusiasm to Bromley and Beckenham, creating a brand new Jigsaw school where local children can feel supported, encouraged and celebrated.

More than just dance, drama and singing classes

At Jigsaw, we believe every child deserves a place to belong.

Our weekly performing arts classes combine drama, dance and singing in a safe, structured and welcoming environment where children can develop confidence, creativity and communication skills while having lots of fun.

Some children arrive bursting with confidence. Others take a little longer to settle into a new environment. Some join because they love performing. Others simply want to make new friends or try something different.

Whatever brings them through our doors, our goal remains the same: helping every child feel valued, supported and comfortable being themselves.

Children’s performing arts classes for ages 3-18

Jigsaw Bromley & Beckenham offers age-appropriate performing arts classes for children and young people aged 3-18 years.

Little Ones (Ages 3-6)

Our youngest students enjoy 90-minute sessions filled with creativity, imagination and fun.

Classes are divided into:

Ages 3-4
Ages 5-6

Each session includes:

Drama and storytelling activities
Singing and vocal games
Dance and movement exercises
A short snack break
Opportunities to build confidence and social skills

All classes are drop-off sessions and are led by nurturing teachers who either work or study within the performing arts industry.

To ensure every child receives the support they need, class sizes are limited to a maximum of 16 students, with an assistant teacher supporting each group.

Main School (Ages 7-18)

Students aged 7 and above attend a three-hour session each week, rotating through specialist classes in:

Drama
Dance
Singing

Each discipline is taught by a dedicated specialist teacher, helping students develop skills while building confidence, teamwork and self-expression.

Children are grouped by age and work in classes of no more than 20 students, ensuring every individual is seen, supported and encouraged throughout their journey.

Why performing arts helps children thrive

Parents often join Jigsaw looking for a dance class, drama class or singing lesson.

What they quickly discover is that performing arts offers so much more.

Through weekly classes, children can develop:

Confidence and self-belief
Communication skills
Creativity and imagination
Teamwork and collaboration
Social skills and friendships
Resilience and independence

These are transferable skills that support children at school, at home and throughout their lives.

Most importantly, children have fun while learning them.

A place to belong

One of the reasons families choose Jigsaw is because we focus on the whole child, not just performance outcomes.

We are proud to provide:

Inclusive classes
Small group sizes
Specialist teachers
Strong safeguarding
Structured learning
A welcoming community atmosphere

Whether your child is outgoing, shy, energetic, creative or somewhere in between, they will find a place where they can be themselves.

Performance opportunities throughout the year

Our students enjoy three exciting terms throughout the year:

Show Term

Students work towards a relaxed performance for family and friends.

Presentation Term

Families are invited to watch classroom demonstrations and celebrate progress.

Technique Term

Students focus on developing skills and confidence across all three disciplines.

These varied terms ensure children continue to grow while enjoying new experiences throughout the year.
